I’m not sure why I’m accused of having a short attention span . . . The Bulletin website is only a month old and I have already completely redone it with a brand new interface. I figure now is easier than later. Inspired by my success using WordPress to build and design this blog (time from first getting the idea in the shower one morning and having the site up and running: less than two days). The new site www.jccabulletin-geppo.ca is also built using WordPress but uses a different “theme”. This blog uses Green Love by Bob of Blog Oh Blog. The new Bulletin site uses The Morning After by The Master Plan. It is designed to look and feel more like a magazine than a blog. Check it out – all comments welcome. It promises to be much easier to update than the first iteration, which means that there is no excuse for me to neglect it. Still have to figure out a few things (like how to get the Japanese content on to the site!) but it’s mostly there. Until the next time I decide to redo it – at which time you have permission to shoot me.
My next challenge is to redo the Canadian Nikkei website – not this blog component, but the main website, which I want to use as more as a Nikkei/Asian portal and a repository/archive for links, images and stories. Stay tuned!
BTW: WordPress http://wordpress.org/ is a remarkable blog-creating software created and maintained by an army of blogging enthusiasts. It’s free and it’s great. Check it out if you’re thinking of creating your own blog.
