Butoh master Taketeru Kudo will make a special appearance at the 2008 Vancouver International Dance Festival. He will perform at 10 PM on March 14 and 15 and give a workshop from 2:30 PM to 5 PM on March 16th at the Roundhouse Community Centre.
Kudo is known for his extraordinary presence. With a history of training with Koichi Tamano and Yukio Waguri as well as five years as a member of the world famous butoh group, Sankai Juku, Kudo embodies the butoh spirit with a ferocious physicality that is astonishing to witness.
